Vessel and Vehicle Over-height Detection AI Apps

Tackling Over-height Incidents with Unleash live’s AI Apps In response to the growing number of over-height vehicle incidents disrupting roads, causing congestion, delays, and posing serious safety risks, Transport for NSW (TfNSW) launched an Over-height Truck Taskforce in June 2023. These incidents impact road infrastructure such as tunnels and bridges and have significant economic consequences. Addressing this challenge head-on, Unleash live introduces two AI Apps for Vessel & Vehicle Over-height Detection, designed to enhance safety and reduce incidents across roadways and waterways.Full report. Ensuring Safety in Restricted Height Corridors Restricted height zones, whether tunnels, bridges or low-clearance areas on waterways, pose serious risks when over-height vehicles or vessels attempt to pass. Incidents in these zones can result in structural damage, expensive repairs, operational delays and lives at risk. Unleash live’s AI solutions provide precise, real-time monitoring, ensuring that height violations are detected before they lead to accidents leveraging existing CCTV cameras. Zone-Specific Detection for Roads and Waterways The AI App for Over-height detection is tailored to monitor specific zones, such as tunnels or low-clearance bridges. Whether a truck is nearing a height-restricted tunnel or a vessel is approaching a low-clearance bridge, these AI apps ensure continuous monitoring and timely alerts. Early detection allows operators to take swift preventive action, avoiding accidents and damage to critical infrastructure. Precision through Camera Calibration Accurate detection is essential for preventing over-height incidents. The AI apps use advanced camera calibration technology to ensure precise height and distance measurements. This high level of accuracy minimizes false alarms, ensuring that alerts are triggered only by genuine risks. Customizable Height Thresholds Different zones have different height restrictions based on their structural limitat

Starlink’s Zero Latency Video - Connecting the Field to the Office

In industries like mining, utilities and oil & gas, sending subject matter experts (SMEs) to remote locations for inspections and assessments is a common but costly practice. These trips often require days or weeks of travel to ensure the operational health of critical infrastructure like utility poles, gas lines and mining sites. Not only does this consume time and money, but it also introduces significant safety risks. However, with Starlink’s zero-latency live video technology, these experts no longer need to leave the comfort of their office.

Harnessing AI Video Analytics to Unify Camera Feeds In Transport

In today's rapidly evolving world of transportation, managing and securing vast networks of cameras has become a critical necessity. Whether it's monitoring traffic flow, ensuring passenger safety or enhancing overall operational efficiency, video surveillance plays an indispensable role. However, the challenge lies in efficiently harnessing data from these cameras, often scattered across a network and extracting meaningful insights. This is where Machine Learning AI video analytics comes into play, offering a revolutionary solution to unify camera feeds, delivering rich data sets without the need to rely solely on internal video management systems (VMS).

Uncovering the Costs of Downtime in Distribution Networks

How AI-Enabled Utilities Stay Ahead In the electricity distribution industry, downtime isn’t just customer inconvenience, it’s a costly disruption. Utility companies face significant financial repercussions when power outages or equipment failures occur, with the costs often exceeding six figures. These costs stem from lost revenue, penalties, repair expenses and potential damage to the company's reputation. One of the most effective ways to mitigate these risks is through regular and rapid inspections of distribution poles and other critical infrastructure. However, traditional inspection methods are time-consuming, labor-intensive, and prone to human error. Digital innovation and automation are transforming these operations.
